All Groton classes are held on Mondays starting September 8th through mid May at the Groton village municipal building in the Community room.

All dancers in a class receive the same dance instruments, dance gifts, & opportunities to shine.
Classes are $5 per class and are payable per year, month, semester, or week.
Garments/costumes for shows are about $6 to rent.

Dance with Me
Ages 18 months – 36 months and their caregivers.

An age and developmentally appropriate dance activity to do with your child that will
activate children’s minds and bodies, work on musicality, give them safe
social interaction, be fun, & help them meet toddler friends. Every session we
use a fairy tale or similar base for connection to frame our technique learning.
~ We only offer 1 session each fall and spring ~
This class does not perform in our community performances or Spring Program.
Dance Experience
Ages 3-5
3:30-4:00pm
In Dance Experience we use dance games & creative movement to
warm up & learn their technique and focus more on grace and learning the
basic dance shapes. We know children learn best when having fun, which
allows us to maximize learning and technical development while also
inspiring kids to love dance and develop creativity, artistry, kindness,
musicality, and self-confidence. Every month we use a fairy tale or similar
base for connection to frame our technique learning.

In the 1 – 2a levels we focus on developing age-appropriate
coordination, strength, flexibility, and musicality in children as well as
learning a lot more technique. By making our dance classes fun, inviting,
and imaginative, children can learn so much! We make exploring new
concepts in dance class exciting and our children’s hearts and minds grow
and flourish. We continue using classic stories & fairy tales as framework.

Current enrollment in Ballet 2b-4 is a prerequisite for these classes.
Additional at home work such as videos and strengthening exercises (supplied by our instructors) are required as part of these classes.

In levels 2b, 3, 4, and 5, Tap, Ballet, Dance Expressions (Jumps,
Turns & Props), Pointe, & Pre-Pointe dancers feel connected and at home working
hard with positive, energetic people as they gain confidence in themselves
and lift others up, realizing it’s not just about themselves or dance steps- it’s
about all they have to share with the world. Classes continue with more
advanced training, drilling, technique & scene work as dancers have fun &
make lifelong friends. No experience needed to join – just the desire to apply
themselves and work hard while having fun.
